LSMU Kaunas Clinic NIPT contract award

 Non-Invasive Prenatal Test Tender has been successfully awarded to Placenta JSC and Veritas Int.

Placenta JSC, the tissue bank and genetic diagnostic company based in Vilnius, Lithuania and Veritas Intercontinental, The Genome Company, molecular diagnostics company, announce that LSMU Kaunas Clinic, one of the largest public clinics in Lithuania and the Baltic region, has confirmed that Placenta JSC and Veritas Intercontinental have been successfully awarded its “Non Invasive Prenatal Tests” tender.

Over the next 2 years, Placenta JSC and Veritas Int will provide the Kaunas clinic its non-invasive prenatal tests for trisomies 21, 18, 13 and sexual aneuploidies analysis. The service uses the most advanced technology based on Illumina VeriSeq™NIPT Solution v2. The tender has been awarded to PLACENTA JSC and VERITAS Int. over 6 international molecular diagnostics laboratories.

This important opportunity will allow PLACENTA JSC to grow its commercial activity in the Baltic region and for Veritas to further expand its European activities. PLACENTA JSC also offers other Veritas maternal-fetal medicine services including myNewBorn – Neonatal Whole Exome sequencing – and Prenatal WES – Prenatal whole Exome Sequencing.
