Veritas will have an active participation in the next European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) 2023 Conference, to be held from June 10 to 13 in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Veritas will participate with a booth (#736) where it will show its complete portfolio in preventive medicine and with a corporate satellite to be held on Saturday June 10 (10-11.30h, Carron Room) under the title “Elective genomic screening: its role in clinical practice and in general health check-ups”. The Conference, which is celebrating its 56th edition, is the largest scientific and professional event in human genetics at European, bringing together experts from all over the world in this discipline. A field that is undergoing exponential development, with important implications for basic science, medicine, and society.

ESHG has two main objectives: to provide a platform for the dissemination of the most interesting advances in the field of human genetics and to promote the education of the next generation of human geneticists. Plenary sessions, concurrent symposia, workshops, and poster displays complete an exciting program.

In this context, Veritas will present advances in genetic screening both in the clinical setting and in preventive medicine and general healthcare. “Genomics” says Dr. Izquierdo, “has a key role to play in the context of personalized medicine. The data show us that the inclusion of genome sequencing in routine health check-ups has proven its usefulness, since it allows us to anticipate and detect people at risk of disease who could not be identified with other methods.”

The Glasgow meeting will also provide an opportunity for direct contacts between scientists and exhibitors. The event, which is held annually, addresses three main sectors: training, laboratory technology and laboratories.
